The politics of data mining | mathbabe

A great post by Cathy about rhe politics or even the corporate politics of data mining. She touches on a topic near and dear to my heart, and that’s how organizations change when they grow and how that is associated with Dunbars Number. As organizations grow beyond the point where humans ability to keep track of others’ action can keep up, the organization evolves defensive machanisms, which are perhaps necessary to the well-being og the corporation, but may be detrimental to the well-being of the members of the organization, i.e., people.
